UK prolongs Evraz's license for operations in North America
MOSCOW, Jun 26 (PRIME) -- The U.K. has again prolonged a license of U.K.-based mining giant Evraz, which operates mainly in Russia, to continue its operations in North America until March 31, 2024, as follows from a statement released by the U.K. government on Monday.
Evraz attained the license of the Office of Financial Sanctions Implementation (OFSI) in April 2022. The document was later prolonged until March 31, 2023, and then until September 30.
The company owns two steel mills in the U.S. and four in Canada and is the leader in rail production of North America, as well as the largest producer of large-diameter pipes and flat steel.
